What is the WSET Level 2 Award in Wines?
The WSET Level 2 Award in Wines is the world’s most recognized wine qualification, giving you the tools to explore the most important wines globally. Focused on grape varieties, the regions in which they grow, and the styles of wine they produce, this qualification will help you understand wine beyond the label.
You’ll need a minimum of 12 hours of private study in addition to the 18 hours of guided learning.
This qualification is Ofqual regulated.

Course Structure:
The course takes place over three Sundays, with attendance required each week. The optional examination takes place at the end of the third Sunday, giving you time to study between classes.

Exam Information:
The Level 2 Award in Wines examination consists of 50 multiple-choice questions to be completed in 60 minutes.

How Do I Prepare?
This qualification combines guided learning and private study. You’ll need a minimum of 12 hours of private study in addition to the 16 hours of guided learning.
Study materials: The WSET Level 2 Award in Wines study pack will be sent to you two weeks before the start of the course.

Do I need prior knowledge to take this course?
No prior knowledge is required. It’s ideal for beginners or those with some wine knowledge. WSET Level 1 is not necessary.
What language is the course delivered in?
This course is delivered in English, so a good level of English is beneficial.
